As I conclude my time as Chairperson after three incredible years, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for the privilege of leading this remarkable chapter. It has been an honour to serve alongside dedicated members like yourselves, driving growth, progress, and excellence in our association. I cherish the memories, achievements, and lessons learned during my chairmanship. Your support, trust, and collaboration have made this journey truly rewarding. Thank you for the opportunity to lead, learn, and grow together. I wish the Central Chapter continued success and prosperity under the future leadership.
10.1 Matters of the heart
The loss of three beloved Central Chapter members hit us like a bomb, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. Their sudden departure sent shockwaves through our association, and we are still coming to terms with the void they left behind. We remember: Anton Rademeyer who passed away on 25 November 2023; Frikkie de Wit who passed away on 30 November 2023, only five days later; and Allan Casey on 1 February 2024. May their memories continue to inspire us, and may they always rest in peace. Our deepest condolences remain with their families, and we hold them close in our thoughts and prayers.
10.2 Activities
We are proud to report that we had nine successful outrides throughout the year.
A notable highlight was our June Charity Run to Wet Nose which attracted an impressive 82 participants.
The average participation per ride was 44 members, 12 bikes, and 12 trikes.
Our chapter demonstrated outstanding commitment to our shared passion and community involvement. We extend our sincere gratitude to our organisers, whose dedication and hard work ensured the success of each event. Your contributions are invaluable. Thank you to all members for their participation and support.
10.3 Gratitude and general
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Central Committee for their tireless dedication and devotion to Wing Riders SA. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside each one of you. As you know, Central Chapter has taken on the task of organising this year’s Wing Fling. Thanks to the invaluable assistance of our members, all plans are in place, and everything is proceeding smoothly. To those attending, get ready for another unforgettable experience! We look forward to creating more memories together. For those attending the Wing Fling, please drive safely to and from the event.
