CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 2023
Dear Wing Riders SA Members and Fellow Motorcycle Enthusiasts,
As we approach the end of another year, it is a time for reflection on the highs and lows we have experienced together.
On the low side, we mourn the loss of some members who passed away, members who decided not to renew their membership, and of course others. To all members who lost loved ones, dear friends or family members, our heartfelt condolences to you. Two of our members also had a serious accident, but by the grace of God, they are recovering very well, albeit slowly. We wish them a full recovery in the near future.
On the high side, this year brought growth and new friendships, particularly in one of our Chapters. We have enjoyed the thrill of the open road on our beloved Honda Gold Wings, Silver Wings and Valkyries – undoubtedly the best touring motorcycles in the world.
Wing Riders SA also celebrates the 40th anniversary of WRSA in 2023. The highlight of the anniversary came during the annual Wing Fling which was held in Polokwane during the middle of October.
In celebrating the 40th anniversary of Wing Riders SA, the annual Wing Fling in Polokwane was a highlight. Each member received special commemorative items – a shirt with a unique 40-year WRSA embroidered badge and a 40-year commemorative brass badge for your colours. Whenever you don these commemorative items, please wear them with the pride they deserve as they symbolise your part in the legacy of Wing Riders SA.
That all said, all of the above leads us to December when the festive season commences and most importantly, when we, as Christians, celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is our sincerest wish that you and your loved ones will celebrate this Christmas with a deep sense of gratitude that you are still here to celebrate together as families and friends. Christmas is a time to reflect on the past year and to appreciate the love and grace we received throughout the year.
Enjoy the season responsibly, especially on the roads. Drive safely and considerately, keeping in mind the well-being of fellow road users.
For our members celebrating Christmas, may this season bring you joy and precious moments with your families. To those of other religions, may you also enjoy a delightful break, creating lasting memories with your loved ones.
Looking ahead to 2024, we wish every Wing Riders SA member and everyone reading this message a year filled with love, happiness, laughter, good health, and prosperity in all your endeavours.
