Western Cape Chapter: Charity run with “Helpende Handjies” on 10 December 2017

With all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, people sometimes forget that this holiday is about sharing peace and joy with others.

As an act of kindness, three biker groups got together on Sunday, 10 December 2017. Wing Riders Western Cape Chapter joined in to assist the care centre called “Helpende Handjies” by collecting food items and taking it to Montagu for children from the squatter camp.

The Wing Riders left Cape Town at 08:15 to meet up with the other biking groups in Worcester at 10:00. On route, biking groups from Ashton joined the pack and all drove to Montagu to do a distribution to those in need.

Thank you to the Wing Riders and the other bikers who gave so generously.

“What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.” ~ Agnes M. Pharo

Our welcome on arrival.

The total collection in cash was R3000 for electricity and R1540 for bread and milk, when needed.
