Central Chapter will be going to the Aviators Tavern and Craft Brewing Company this Saturday, 14 April 2018. It is situated along the R512, close to the Hartbeespoort Dam (see www.aviators.co.za).
This is our first Saturday run, as was requested by Central Chapter members, and we hope to maintain the same numbers we have become accustomed to. Therefore, no lawn-mowing and shopping this Saturday!
We will leave our final departure point at 10:00 from the Zenex Laezonia garage on the corner of the R511 and R114, just off the N14 highway (at the Diepsloot/Hartbeespoort Dam offramp: 25°54’22.1″S 28°01’38.4″E).
From there, we will be going along the R511, through the Schoemansville village and over the dam wall for the scenic route. I hope the dam will still be 100% full. Then we will travel along the R512/R560, and finally the R512 again. It will take about an hour.
To get there:
East Rand and Jhb South members:
Meet at the Engen garage Longmeadow (take Modderfontein offramp, towards Modderfontein and first left in Parkway Street: -26.1156301, 28.1355811) – leave at 09:10 latest – about 40 minutes via N3, N1 and N14.
Witbank and Middelburg members:
Meet at the usual place at McDonalds in Witbank and leave there latest 08:15 (via N4, N1 and N14) – should take ± 1,5 hr.
West Rand members:
Meet at the usual Sasol Pinehaven and leave latest at 09:30 – 20 minutes via N14.
Pretoria members:
Meet at the usual McDonalds and leave at the latest 09:20.
Anybody else from a different direction:
Meet us at the final departure point at the R511 Zenex garage.
All guests on all motorcycles are welcome to join the run. Please note that a ride-along fee of R25 per person will be collected by our Treasurer.
