Central Chapter run: Toeka se Dae near Bela Bela on 22 July 2018

Members and guests departed from the Petroport on the N1, north of Pretoria, at 09:45 on Sunday morning. There were in total 55 people, 18 bikes and 14 trikes. Dias van der Merwe organised this lovely run for us and we were blessed with a sunny and cool morning. Our destination was Toeka se Dae, a unique farm stall situated on the R516 and 1 km from the N1 on the road to Bela Bela. Everyone sat down to a scrumptious buffet breakfast in the restaurant where we spent the morning among friends. In between, some members wandered off to...

Western Cape Chapter run: Helpende Handjies in Montagu on 24 June 2018

Central Chapter run: Stonehenge Lodge, Parys dictrict, 24 June 2018

Members and guests came from Witbank, Pretoria, the West, East and South Rand and met at the final departure point at the Blockhouse on the R59. It was not too cold and everyone enjoyed a lovely winter run. The Gold Wings arrived at Stonehenge Lodge around 11:30. Stonehenge is a riverside lodge, conference and teambuilding venue, about 10 km on the other side of Parys. As guests entered Stonehenge, they were greeted by a large replication of the celebrated Stonehenge Monument. Throughout the complex, natural, strategically-placed granite plinths reinforce the African Ambience. We had the privilege of two guests joining...

Central Chapter: Newsletter June 2018

Hello everybody Almost midyear already and another month of activities gone by. Today, thirteen Gold Wings paraded at the East Rand Motor Show. There was much interest from the public, many questions asked, and a number of people enquired about bikes and trikes for sale. During our run in May, Henry proved that a trike can keep up with the 2-wheelers in the twisties at the Red Star Raceway. Thanks to the management of Red Star who made it an extraordinary day. On the people front, please keep Pax in your thoughts and prayers who is still in hospital...

Western Cape Chapter: Run to Kleinmond on 19 May 2018

Central Chapter run: Red Star Raceway, 20 May 2018

Members left the final departure point in Boksburg at 08:30 on Sunday morning to travel to Red Star Raceway. On arrival, coffee was the first item on the agenda as most members left home in temperatures somewhere between 5° and 10° Celsius. Quintin Coetser, manager at Red Star Raceway, entertained members with an extremely interesting talk on biker safety and most, if not all, learned a great deal. The professionalism, facilities, and most importantly, the welcoming attitude, made for a great day that will be long remembered. Members then enjoyed a delicious breakfast where after Wing Riders were given the...
